Books in the stacks or in the Libraries Service Center will be checked out to the customer's library card and delivered to a campus box within 48 hours. (Note: Research centers affiliated with the Homewood Campus, including CSOS and CTY, can use the Express service. However, materials will not be hand-delivered to the departments because they are not physically located on the Homewood campus. Articles can be sent electronically or through campus mail. Books can be placed on hold at the Circulation Desk for customer pickup.)
For non-resident customers, books will be mailed via UPS. The customer is responsible for returning these loans via UPS to the Eisenhower Library Circulation Department.
Books that are currently checked out can be recalled and delivered by the Express when they are returned to the library. Books that are missing from the stacks will be searched by the Circulation Department and delivered by the Express if they are found.
- Articles from journals and books found in the stacks or in the Libraries Service Center will be delivered electronically to your online account with the MSEL Interlibrary Services & Document Delivery System; or photocopied and delivered to campus boxes, usually within 48 hours. Articles from book sources are limited by copyright law to 10-15% of the total number of pages. Express will copy/scan up to a maximum of 60 pages within that range.
