- Use it to enter the library (if you don't have it with you you'll need to show another form of photo ID, which the guard will photocopy).
- Use it to check out books, videos, DVDs, and other materials from the library (JHU divisional library cards, such as Welch Library cards, will also work).
- Use it for interlibrary loan and other document delivery requests. Your library card number is the small string of numbers below the barcode.
- Add money to it for photocopying, printing, vending machines, and more.
- How to get a J-Card if you don't have one. Carey Business School and School of Education Students: Check with your program administrator if you have not received a J-Card.
- Your library account is activated the first time you check something out of the library with your J-Card.
- You can also activate your account by calling the Circulation Desk at 410-516-8370 or by showing your J-Card at the Circulation Desk (M-Level, Eisenhower Library).
- You must activate your library account before you can use your J-Card for online functions such as requesting items from the catalog, using interlibrary loan from our Web site, or using Eisenhower Express to have materials sent to you.
