This guide, a work in progress, is primarily intended to assist faculty and students of the Johns Hopkins University in locating key business information resources that are available for their academic research through the Milton S. Eisenhower Library. Students and faculty may contact the Librarian for Business with questions regarding this guide or use of the library's collections.
1) Refer to this page for information about remote access to electronic library resources. Use your JHED login ID and JHED password as your JHU user authentication to enter the resources through the proxy system.
2) Activate your library borrower account, using your J-Card, with Circulation or through your JHU campus library staff to borrow JHU library materials. 3) Set up your Interlibrary Services account to borrow materials from other libraries or receive journal articles via e-mail for free! Through your account, you can enter personal information once, instead of per transaction, and track the status of your requests.
4) Read this Getting Started in the JHU Libraries guide for key services and information.
5) Review the examples for different types of electronic resources in the MLA or APA style guides. Note the type of information to gather for your bibliography as you do your research.
A reference librarian is also available to provide immediate assistance during the weekdays, evenings and weekends. Call the Information Desk at 410-516-8335 and ask to speak to the librarian on duty. If you prefer to e-mail a librarian with a general question, you may use the Ask-A-Librarian service.
